My husband and I each got one of these lovely things for the holidays this year:
[amazon_image id="B007P4VOWC" link="true" target="_blank" size="medium" ]Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7-Inch, Wi-Fi)[/amazon_image]
I’ve been loving the ability to purchase books like [amazon_link id="0061989169" target="_blank" ]Vagina: A New Biography[/amazon_link] as ebooks. Normally I end up either waiting (long enough to forget) to get the paperback version of a new book, or I go ahead and buy the hard cover and never read it because it is so uncomfortable to hold.
Now imagine my joy when I installed the app for the local library and learned that I can actually check out ebooks!! I was on cloud nine to say the least. I have read at least one book through the library ([amazon_link id="0061227862" target="_blank" ]Soul Retrieval: Mending the Fragmented Self[/amazon_link]) and am looking forward to reading so many more.
My daughter in the meantime has been LOVING her new [amazon_link id="B008DBI5RI" target="_blank" ]Fuhu NABI NABI2-NV7A 7-Inch Tablet[/amazon_link] which is a tablet for kids that we are so far pretty happy with! Only downside so far is that the Star Wars Angry Birds app isn’t available to her…she was pretty upset about that one!
I am loving my [amazon_link id="B007P4VOWC" target="_blank" ]Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7-Inch, Wi-Fi)[/amazon_link] and am looking forward to learning all the other ways it will be enhancing my life…my husband is telling me to check out an app called “Pocket” and another “Memo” app, though there are so many memo apps I have yet to figure out which one has made such an impression on him…
Now I just wish there was a trade in program somewhere so that I could bring in all my books to get digital versions of them…have you seen anything like that yet? Let me know if you have!!
