It’s been too long since I really relaxed. I have in the past even written articles about “Outside the Box Mommy Me Time” but haven’t taken much of my own advice!!
I realized this last night and consciously decided to go to bed with my knitting, and my “Seattle Child” “Parent Map” and “Seattle Woman” magazines. I managed to read all of them, stopping only occasionally to ask my husband to stop talking about his “hackintosh” experiment, that I’d be happy to chat about trips and fun things to do but no computer or business stuff in the middle of the night. All day talking about that stuff is enough.
So I read them all, lots of fun content about events, workouts, studies etc. Eventually I decided I was tired and to to to bed…..and I SLEPT!!
I am very insomniac-ish, not officially diagnosed but I’m convinced I only have deep sleep about every three days. This was WONDERFUL.
So yes, mommies need me-time whatever that looks like!!
